How it works

How it works

The complete journey of a Kivvia operation, from the producer's pre-analysis to settlement in product.

The operation in one paragraph

A producer needs inputs and technology for the next harvest. Instead of a bank loan, the producer commits a defined share of the crop. Kivvia structures that commitment as a financial instrument backed by the physical production, distributes it to investors through licensed partners, and contracts a buyer for the crop. At harvest, the product is delivered, the buyer pays, and the instrument is settled.

Step by step

1. Pre-analysis

The producer creates an account and describes the operation: location, area, main crops, expected volume, financing goal and preferred term. Kivvia runs a viability triage and checks the operation against allocation targets per crop.

2. Broker review

The pre-analysis is shared with a partner broker, who issues a non-objection letter (NOC) to proceed with documents.

3. Structuring

Kivvia requests production history, financial and operational data, assembles the dossier, and prepares the special purpose vehicle and the instrument (a tokenized commercial note or a CRA). The producer signs the structuring services agreement and chooses how to pay the annual fee.

4. Offering

The broker approves the limit and the instrument. The offering is distributed to investors through licensed partners and the Kivvia platform, and funds are transferred to the special purpose vehicle.

5. Delivery and settlement

The producer delivers the crop to the contracted buyer. The buyer pays the vehicle, which settles the instrument and distributes results to investors.
